Pray for your City

Your City

Most of us live in towns or cities, and whether we like where we live or not, it's important to be a prayer warrior for your city.

So often we get wrapped up in prayers that involve us, or our families, or far off places that have a crushing need to be prayed for. And all of this is great! Pray for your family, pray for places like Egypt and the unreached people groups of Indonesia!

It's also important however, to be a prayer warrior for your city!

I live in a huge metropolitan city that is filled with people struggling with their faith, their health, their job, their life!

Lift up your city in prayer, along with all of it's hospitals, schools, roadways, etc.

Prayer is a very powerful thing, and when you lift these requests up to God to protect your city and help it prosper, those prayers don't go unheard!

It's time that communities reach out to their city and assist in any way possible. Volunteering your time, money and/or prayers can go such a long way in the lives of people who truly need it!

I pray that my city will be a city of God. That it will prosper, that it's people will heal and recover and spread the word of Christ.

The power that is in Christ is stronger than that which is in the world. It is stronger than crimes, sickness, natural disasters, homelessness, joblessness, depression, immorality and hatred. And we need to do our best to bless our cities, to raise them up in Christ and be an example of hope, faith, love, and prosperity.

Be a prayer warrior for your city.

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Proverbs 11:11
Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.

Matthew 21: 21-22
And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen. And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Matthew 4:19
And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

1Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
