Broke It

Image
Today in Liz's blogtopia I was planning on writing about moving. And how it makes me sad and blah blah blah but I've written and deleted three different posts. Nothing sticks, nothing works and it's pissing me off so I'm writing this instead. If I were on a stage and there was a spotlight it would be a soliloquy for sure. Anyway, I can't stop listening to Aimee Mann and I'm living in the valley of the cardboard boxes and I'm in an atrocious mood and I can't even write about moving. Well, I guess this is writing, but not about moving. Please enjoy the accompanying photo and song (neither of which do I retain rights to whatsoever).

Another slip a trip a fall I’m only human is what I say But will that be enough On judgment day Feeling the hurt the stress the pain With nowhere to go but back again Just one more Touch or taste or slice Of my brand of downfall Of my preferred vice There is no medicine That overrides the sweet and sour candied regret That burns on my tongue That heaves in my chest That rings through my body And rolls down my neck There was a moment of deliberation A subtle and whispered pause The opportunity to walk away I took the options taken into consideration And still I  pressed play

Today is the day after I graduated from TCU and I still don't think it's quite sunk in yet. It was so surreal. It's like one of those moments that is so big that you wonder if life goes on after it occurs. Well I'm here to say that I didn't turn into a puff of smoke and disappear after Boschini handed me my diploma.  It was a very interesting day, May 12th. First off, I forgot the number that would allow me to receive my diploma. So after a two hour crisis I had it replaced. The sky was threatening rain, the robe was stifling and the whole arena was total chaos. My mouth was bone dry and I was praying that I wouldn't have to pee or that I wouldn't trip on stage (luckily my prayers were answered).  The energy in that cramped hallway, in the moments before entering the arena, was crazy. Me and all of my friends and all of my strangers all in purple...hoping for the moment and praying for the future, a collective mass of elevated nerves. We waited,

Sneaky Apple

Apple has really pissed me off this time. Recently I jumped on the opportunity to replace my iPhone 4 with a 4S for just $25 at my local Radio Shack. It's a great deal, and not their fault that Apple has become a sneaky POPTART. Little did I know that Apple DISABLED the 3G and EDGE capabilities on the 4S meaning that you have no other choice than to use 4G which significantly drains your battery. Today I watched my phone go from 70% to 60% in like ten minutes. So naturally I went in search of turning on EDGE and low and behold it wasn't there! Apple is really forcing the consumer's hand and decreasing their options by forcing 4G upon them. This will probably also mean that the phone won't last as long (lifespan wise) which means you'll need to replace it sooner....hmm....I wonder if that's a coincidence? I doubt it. Anyway...I am sufficiently pissed off and daydreaming of the days when I had a Razr that needed charged like once every three days. You
